well, it has begun...
i've officially started my first blanket. i'd like to attribute it to a need for a challenge but it was really part of a rescue deal where my sister had bought a bunch of yarn and started a blanket and, yeah...was having some trouble with it. so, i, in all my brave glory took it up thinking i could whip it out in a few weeks or so and have it safe and snug back in lincoln, ca by february.
but then i had to frog it 5 times.
and then i couldn't look at it for a while because i hated it.
and then i made three scarves to make myself feel better.
and then i went through a period of mourning where i knew i needed to cast on 121 stitches and i didn't want to.
but then, a couple of nights ago, the dream came back to life and i pulled the thing out again and started once more. it's crazy how long it is taking to do a single row. i'm in a bit of shock about it all. but it will happen. and once it is large enough to warrant a photograph, it will be up here in all its glory! believe me...:)
jo, you WILL have your blanket! someday! i promise!!!
