a couple sketches today for your viewing pleasure. one drawn on that long, boring day before my first marathon. okay, so it didn't take me all day, but it was very typical of that day. haha



and this one is in the surfer style of sketching/painting in honor of a couple of lovely days at the beach. there's this really cool artist who does a much better job of this style but i can't remember his name off the top of my head. i was trying to be cool like him. anyway, it was sooo gorgeous and the waves were churning like they were in a laundromat and crashing into each other. (can you say, "rip-tide"?) there were a lot of chalky people out running and walking and playing volleyball (very gleefully, i might add.) there's this wonderful, wonderful, wonderful little cafe at the pier in hermosa that sells these absolutely delicious blueberry/strawberry muffins with sugar crystals on top. oh. my. goodness. they're pricey but so worth it. i bought one and then eat it as i'm walking up the beach to the manhattan pier. mmmmm okay, have a great monday, everyone!
