wow, my poor blog has been so ignored as of late. i feel like i should apologize or something. :) work has really picked up (i.e., doubled), so honestly, the thought of turning on the computer when i get home and uploading pictures or blogging just hasn't been that appealing. i know, excuses excuses.
lately i've been trying to eat more healthfully, because really, i don't need icecream to be such a substantial food group in my diet even if i do run. haha anyway, that said, it's easy to be somewhat creative for breakfast and very creative for dinner but brown-baggin' it for lunch has left me in a rut. until i discovered vegan lunchbox yesterday. wow!!!! that's all i can say. i'm not vegan, but i'm so inspired by this mom's creative lunch ideas. so today, instead of an apple in my lunch, i'm having strawberries. i even opened up a can of garbanzo beans to toss in my salad. who knows what will happen now?!
on another note, a roommate gave me this book last night to read and i'm having a difficult time putting it down. you know how sometimes you're just at a place where a book particularly moves you? that's how this book is for me. it's called "Blue Like Jazz" and you can read the first chapter here if you want to. i'll close with a quote from it...
sometimes you have to watch somebody love something before you can love it yourself. it is as if they are showing you the way.
:)
